An old chap named Heraclitus seems to have thrown a pretty solid quote when he said 'You can't step in the same river twice', whether you understand the river has changed, or yourself have.
The job of an artist is to capture the experience of a moment - be it visual, a feeling, a concept. If everything is indeed in a state of flux, a beautiful moment becomes even more valuable.
A treasure.
I've been lucky enough to have seen many a glorious sunset in my life - and each and every one of them takes my breath away. It reminds me it could be my last, reminds me of the others, and makes me wish for more. It also makes me think of the people I love that, for one reason or another, can't be enjoying the singlar view that I am - which makes me sad a little.
There's a lot packed in a Fleeting sight.
